Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Test & Tag International Limited, trading as TESTntel, is committed to handling personal information with care and in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and your rights to access and correct information about you.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies when you use this website, request a quote, contact us, purchase goods, use our services or portal, apply for a role, or otherwise interact with TESTntel. A separate privacy notice may apply to a particular product or service, including a parking payment service. If so, that notice will explain any additional collection and use relevant to that service.

Personal information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:

  • your name, company, role, email address, phone number and postal or service address;
  • the details you provide in an enquiry, quote request, booking, order, survey or support request;
  • service, site, asset and compliance information needed to quote for, schedule, perform and report on our work;
  • account, portal, order, invoice, payment and transaction records;
  • communications and records of your dealings with us;
  • job-application information if you apply to work with us; and
  • technical information associated with your use of our website, such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, date and time, and campaign or error information.

Please do not provide sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for us to provide the requested service or respond to you.

How we collect information

We generally collect personal information directly from you. We may also receive it from the organisation you work for, another person acting with your authority, a customer or service partner where necessary to deliver our services, publicly available sources, or our technology and payment providers.

Providing personal information is generally voluntary. However, if you do not provide information that is reasonably required, we may be unable to respond to your request, provide an accurate quote, deliver a service, process a transaction, give you portal access, or meet our legal and safety obligations.

How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and provide quotes, goods, services, support and reports;
  • schedule and manage work, customer relationships, accounts and portal access;
  • process orders and payments, issue invoices or receipts, and collect amounts owing;
  • maintain service, asset, compliance, audit and safety records;
  • communicate about services, appointments, faults, renewals or re-testing;
  • improve our website, products, services and customer experience;
  • protect our systems, prevent fraud or misuse, and investigate incidents or disputes;
  • meet legal, regulatory, accounting, insurance and health and safety obligations; and
  • send relevant marketing where permitted, subject to your right to opt out.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Website analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic, referral sources, popular pages, campaign performance and form conversions. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and collect information such as device and browser details, approximate location, pages viewed and interactions with this website. We use these reports to improve our website and services and do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or enquiry text to Google Analytics. You can read more in Google's Privacy Policy and learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services on the Google partner sites page.

You can restrict or delete cookies using your browser settings. Doing so may limit the analytics information available to us but will not prevent you from using this website or submitting an enquiry.

Other services linked from this website, such as a client portal, payment provider or third-party website, may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy terms.

When we share information

We may disclose relevant personal information to:

  • authorised TESTntel personnel who need it to perform their work;
  • service providers that support hosting, email delivery, analytics, portals, payments, IT, communications, delivery, professional advice, insurance or debt collection;
  • the organisation you represent, a site operator, or another party involved in delivering or investigating the relevant service;
  • regulators, law-enforcement agencies, courts or other persons where disclosure is required or authorised by law; and
  • another person where you have authorised the disclosure.

Some service providers may process information outside New Zealand. Where the Privacy Act requires it, we take reasonable steps to ensure an overseas recipient provides safeguards comparable to those in New Zealand, is otherwise covered by the Privacy Act, or receives the information with your informed authorisation.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to people who need the information for legitimate business purposes. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected and for lawful business needs, including service history, safety and compliance records, warranties, disputes, tax, accounting and audit requirements. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or anonymise it.

Marketing communications

We may send you information about relevant TESTntel services where you have asked to receive it or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Service, safety, account and transaction messages are not marketing and may still be sent where necessary.

Accessing and correcting your information

You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if you believe it is wrong, incomplete or misleading. We may need to verify your identity and obtain enough detail to locate the relevant information. If we do not make a requested correction, you may ask us to attach a statement of correction to the information.

Access may be withheld only where the Privacy Act permits. In most circumstances we will not charge for an access or correction request; if a reasonable charge is permitted and necessary, we will explain it before providing the information.

Contact and complaints

For a privacy request, question or complaint, contact our Privacy Officer at customer.service@testntel.co.nz, call 0800 837 8824, or write to Test & Tag International Limited, 4 Kitson Place, Saint Johns, Auckland 1072, New Zealand.

We will try to resolve any concern with you. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
